Somesh Sasmal did his undergraduate at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, India. He was working on Nanophotonics in his undergrad. He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Material Science and Nanoengineering at Rice. He is continuing the same field of research in the Kono group. His research interests are related to the alignment of CNT, photonics application, and optical characterization.
